Under the honor of His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Defense, and with the organizational oversight of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces, Startime proudly organized the 2nd edition of the Saudi International Maritime Forum in Jeddah, from November 15 to 17, 2022; For the second consecutive time, Startime reaffirmed its leadership in strategic event management by convening this high-profile forum, which brought together 37 senior leaders and heads of maritime and environmental authorities, representing naval fleets from 15 brotherly and friendly nations. The event also welcomed a distinguished group of military experts, academics, and international researchers.
Held under the theme: “Protecting Naval Units and Critical Coastal Sites from Unmanned Systems Threats,” the forum served as a global platform for exchanging perspectives, addressing emerging challenges, and exploring innovative solutions to safeguard maritime assets. Discussions focused on the impact of unmanned threats on global trade and the security of vital sea lanes; complementing the forum was a cutting-edge exhibition featuring leading local, regional, and international companies showcasing the latest technologies, equipment, and systems in the maritime domain. The event also included specialized workshops, bilateral meetings, business matchmaking sessions, and a range of dynamic side activities — all designed to foster collaboration and drive innovation in maritime security.
